A Thanksgiving Message From Our CEO

Like all of us, my social calendar begins to fill up the second a cool breeze comes racing through the city. Amid the endless holiday parties, I try to find some time to really sit down and think about what I am grateful for. My list usually covers all the basics; I’m thankful for my health, for my family, and for always having enough food to eat. Now, instead of primping and prepping for an endless parade of Friendsgiving’s, gift exchanges, and holiday brunches, I am spending my newfound free time remembering and reflecting about the past year.

2020 came in with a bang and has every intention of leaving the same way. During all the craziness and uncertainty this year has brought us, I remain amazed by the strength of the human spirit. When we began social distancing to fight COVID-19, we invented new ways to stay connected, through Zoom happy hours and virtual game nights. We collectively bonded over TV shows, like Tiger King, and shared our favorite recipes for banana bread and whipped coffee. I’m thankful for togetherness through distance.

As I quarantine with my family, I think about how lucky I am to have a home to raise my daughter in and keep her safe. I’m always thankful that my family and I are healthy. I feel that even more so this year, as our global community fights a virus through face masks and social distancing. I’ve always been appreciative of technology and the gifts it has brought us (like Netflix and online shopping). This year especially, I’m grateful for the internet. Not only would Bundle not exist without it, but I cannot imagine getting through quarantine without being able to connect with other people virtually. I will try to remember this next time I find myself complaining about internet speed.

I’m grateful to have a big, loving family that finds creative ways to have fun together, and I am grateful for ice cream, chocolate, and sweatpants for getting me through some tough days. I’m grateful to be a part of an organization that works hard to make a difference in people’s lives. It is a cliché, I know, but every time I hear from a parent telling me how much their child loves having Bundle Breaks, and how much these breaks have helped them take a break themselves or focus on work, I’m reminded why we do this.

This Thanksgiving, the Bundle team and I are especially grateful for all the employees we have been able to help during these stressful and uncertain times. We look forward to continuing to help working families, teams, and individuals alike. On behalf of the Bundle team, we wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving.
